A few months ago, I was on YouTube watching Laganja Estranja performances when I looked in the "Related" section and saw "Cake Moss-Drunk In Love". I watched the performance and I thought it was absolutely phenomenal. Since then I've been in love with any performance of hers that I come across and it's very clear that this queen is more than just an ordinary everyday drag queen who performs in West Hollywood.
1. Describe your drag persona :)
My drag persona is my inner black girl brought to life, some sass, class, and lots of ass.
2. How long have you been doing drag/performing? What inspired you to do so?
It'll be 2 years on October 15th, and honestly, seeing all the bad drag queens that rely on what they call "pretty" made me start doing drag.
3. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
I have 2 inspirations, my mother because of her strength and beauty, and lady gaga because her art and music speaks to my soul.
4. Has your family always been accepting of you?
Only my mom and late grandmother, my dad is still kind of blah but he's trying his best to accept his first born son making a living as a woman, but I appreciate him trying.
5. Do you have a favorite fan moment?
Hmmm. I think it's when I see someone at a club and they approach me to say how I inspire them to dance or just to be better at anything they do! I love that shit
6. Would you ever consider auditioning for Rupaul's Drag Race? Why or why not?
I auditioned twice. But I'm currently working on my own tv show! I appreciate Rupaul and everything he's done for our community and the drag world but I don't want to just hand all of my success over to him.
7. What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people don't pay attention to performances I've worked weeks to perfect
8. How do you stay positive?
Lots of weed.
9. Out of all the performances you've done, what is your favorite song to perform to?
I love performing to "Partition", Beyoncé makes me feel some kind of way. I'd like to be the Beyoncé of drag, working on it.
10. Why, in your own opinion, should people pay attention to Cake Moss?
Because I'm not your average queen. I don't just walk around the stage, or do ballads or have no personality. I put on a production every time I perform. I take the people watching to another place.
11. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Where Rupaul is now.
12. What is your favorite and least favorite thing about doing drag?
Least favorite part of drag is it takes 2 hours to put on and 5 minutes to take off, favorite part of drag is all of it. I get to act, dance, perform, play dress up, work with hair and makeup, and being treated like a star. Love all of it.

13. What advice can you give queens that are just beginning to perform?
The same advice Pandora and Raja gave me, if you're gonna do it, be really good, there's an over saturation of queens, stand out.
14. What do you think is the best lesson you've ever learned about performing?
Perform for a stadium even if there's 7 people in the club.
15. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Absolutely nothing. My free time is almost non existent anymore so I enjoy laying in bed with my best friend and playing video games and watching American Dad.
16. I know you released 2 songs on iTunes, would you ever consider recording more in the future?
I'm about to record 2 more songs! One is called "Basic Bitch" and I'm doing another track with Greazy who produced "Ratchet"
17. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I've never experienced an embarrassing moment really in drag. No malfunctions or anything, I'm a professional.
18. Do you have any regrets from the past?
Of course I have regrets, everyone does! But I don't dwell on them, that's how people get stuck on repeat.
19. Where can people find you if they're interested in seeing you perform?
Hard Werk at Mickys every other Thursday, and for the most part I just host parties and don't have to really perform, but I do random pop up performances here and there, sometimes at Hamburger Mary's, Riverside, all throughout West Hollywood! I mean, I am the Sassy Prom Queen of Weho and was voted fiercest queen in LA and drag queen of the year not on the race. :)
