When thinking of the Bible, one wouldn't automatically think of a drag queen. BibleGirl666 is out to change that. With her unique style of makeup, a variety of drag inspirations, and interactive performances, she plans on getting on Rupaul's Drag Race and the rest will be herstory. With her hard work and fun personality, there's no doubt this queen will become a huge name in the future.
1. Describe your drag persona.
BibleGirl is honest and stupid. What I love about her character is that there is no affectation or facade where she's trying to be anybody else but herself. As Zack, I tried to implement myself as a person into Bible and didn't want to lose any elements of who I am.
2. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
Britney Spears, without a doubt! I love Britney to death for everything she has brought to the table since the start of her career. She has proven time after time, over and over that no matter how far you've been knocked down in life: you can always bounce back and rise like a phoenix from the ashes and KICK ASS! She's also one of the most beautiful women to have ever existed, to be completely honest.
3. What inspires your makeup?
There are 3 key inspirations that inspire my aesthetic and makeup. My biggest drag inspirations are Britney Spears, the Bride of Chucky, and Princess Peach. With those characters in mind, I pick little bits and pieces that I specifically love from each one and turn them into the Frankenstein that is BibleGirl.
The large eye makeup was initially a mistake, I was using a white eyeliner pencil while getting ready one night and it completely slipped into where my eye socket is. I really liked the shape that it had made so I made it symmetrical on the other side as well, and the rest is history in that regard! Now I've taken that large eye makeup and have gradually evolved it into something that is a bit more fully realized, re: the Bride of Chucky/Princess Peach. Both ladies have acted as female icons and role models for me since I was a little kid. I always had an infatuation with all things hyper-feminine, which then progressed into my mall-goth phase- I still loved the little girly things, but craved an edge. That's where "the Bride", Tiffany, came into play in middle school, onward.
Britney has just always been there for me in life and is my end-all-be-all hero and inspiration. I try to mimic a lot of her facial features with my makeup but I try to keep it 100% Bible versus Britney impersonator. I love her outwardly drooping sad looking eyes, so I create that shape with mine regardless of them being super big or small (which varies quite often now). I also love her cute button nose! I tried to do the whole bitchy, cunty, sharp angled nose and it just didn't work for my face. The second I started to really pay attention to Brit's mug, I tried her nose out and LOVED IT! There's no going back!
4. Where did "cliterally" come from?
It's just a word that one of my best friends and I came up with because we're complete assholes. ;)
5. When and why did you start doing drag?
I started drag on Halloween of 2013. I started it because I wanted to be a part of the movement that drag stands for in which it throws all gender norms out the window and says, "fuck it"- whether it's direct or not, I love that drag manages to still do just that.
6. If you could pick one performance that you've ever done that is your personal favorite, which one would it be?
My favorite performance would definitely be in Chicago back in the beginning of this past October. I was at Whiskey Trust in Boystown for Sissy Spastik's show, Mannequin. I debuted a performance that I've turned into a regular number now, which is a mashup of Britney Spears' Lucky and Iggy Azalea's Fancy. The crowd LOVED it, the energy was ELECTRIC, and I'll never forget it!
7. What was it like growing up?
Growing up was pretty simple. I wasn't a party girl. I grew up fairly sheltered and did well in school. I moved all over as a kid though. Born in Florida, then moved over to New Jersey, back to Florida, and then settled on Long Island (where my parents grew up), and then I moved out to NYC for school. I moved several times within each state though.
8. What is the biggest lesson you've learned regarding your drag career?
Just be yourself. Don't try to give people anything else but 100% YOU!
9. Have you ever considered auditioning for Rupaul's Drag Race?
Yes, I have! Gearing up for the audition process as we speak!
10. Have you ever been star struck when meeting someone? If so, who was it?
I've absolutely been starstruck- I would definitely say when I had first met Sharon Needles and Alaska Thunderfuck which was at the point where I was old enough to fathom that I was in the midst of people that I really looked up to.
11. What is your guilty pleasure?
Binge watching cartoons such as Adventure Time, Over The Garden Wall, and Regular Show.
12. What is your most embarrassing moment?
My first drag performance.
13. What is your favorite Britney Spears song?
Get Naked (I Got a Plan)
14. What is your favorite childhood memory?
First moving to Long Island at age 15 and loving how brand new and fresh it was in comparison to living in suburban Florida.
15. Do you have any secret talents?
Eating shit all the time when I'm out in drag.
